Learn more about Arlies Farm's Greenhouse, Farm and Air B&BArlies Farm, Greenhouse & Nightly Rental

From a very young age, Arlie encouraged and educated his daughter Beth to have an appreciation for the land, crops and animals. Arlie raised his family just ½ mile from the farm near Turner’s Station. You can see Beth’s dedication and enthusiasm when you find her in the greenhouse working with the plants. Arlie always said, “If Beth has dirt under her nails and on her knees, she is happy.” Stan, Beth’s husband, can be found in his shop working on his hand forging, wood and metal work, and anything else Beth can dream up. Their daughter Katie has brought her own beauty to the farm with hand painted murals and artwork on display. Their son Billy offers structural help and encouragement as his mom’s dreams come to life. It’s infectious when you see people living their dream. It sows a seed inside of you to find a dream of your own and to stay a little longer; hoping it grows inside of you too.

About Arlie

A frequently asked question is “Who is Arlie?” Arlie was Beth’s father, a pillar in the community, and a genuinely gentle man. Arlie and both of his parents were chiropractors in Springfield mo. Arlie was an only child, and was raised with a disciplined work ethic based on faith and strong moral values. Arlie and his wife Norma had 3 children that were raised with these same values as well as a great sense of perseverance and dedication. “There is nothing you can’t do or achieve if you are not willing to try,” He encouragingly said to his 3 children. The purchase of his family farm in 1968, which is located just a half mile away from Arlie’s farm LLC, is where Beth gained her passion for good clean farm living. Beth was in 3rd grade, just 8 years old when the seed was planted, little did they know how deep those roots would grow in Beth, who always searched for her forever farm. In 2018 Beth finally found that farm just down the road from her fathers where she had been so inspired as a child and the seed could finally flourish. And thus the reason for the naming of the farm, Arlie’s,  Beth’s way to say, “thanks dad.” A family legacy,  for future generations to flourish.

About Beth & Stan

Before the purchase of the farm Beth and Stan lived on table rock lake, Beth retired,  While Stan was running a Wholesale manufacturing company out of Branson and Ponca City Oklahoma. Beth Told Stan, “I’ve got something on my bucket I have to do before I get too old!” Beth said referring to her dream of a far,….. “and it’s going to pull the rug out from our present relaxed way of living,” she anxiously spoke to Stan. “Let’s Do it, I’m all in!” Stan replied. ( For those of you who don’t know them, this is why they are  so happily married.  Project+ Beth & San = fun! The Excitement was mutual, the enthusiasm was shared, and the hard work ahead was realized. After eliminating what felt like hundreds of farms, they finally asked their daughter Katie to come to “one more,” After seeing the back yard Katie said, “This is it!” Beth knew it too. They made and offer, and after that it was time to get to work. After 7 months of hard work, the first guest finally stayed at the Airbnb. They all knew this was only the beginning of the family farm. The Green house was next, barns started turning into “Chip and Joanna cute” she sheds, and the property is taking shape for or weddings and events.

Come see what we are up to today, surprise…..we are always up to something new!
